Good day to you all,
I am pleased to announce that Compound Delusions: the rise & fall of our design, my first book of all new material will be published via lulu.com on February 13, 2013 (Wednesday).
As many of you know I have been struggling with a number of details since its postponement back in December. My books have always been a way for me to let go. A form of therapy that has worked for a decade now. Since November I have written almost seventy pages of new material. And its relevancy to the theme and story behind the book was spot on. However relevant, I chose not to use this book as a platform for a new writing style that for one reason or another, simply does not blend. Yes, most readers I know would have preferred the new material as it sheds light on what the poetry is about. But I have never provided such an explanation before and after reading what I almost published on 12-12-12 several times I realized the new material would better serve as an ending for a memoir I have been working on since 2009.
Will Compound Delusions be my last book of poetry? I cant answer that because none of us know what our future holds. Will I continue to write poetry? Absolutely. I will always consider myself and American Poet first and foremost. But I have never made my ambitions a secret. My intention as a writer is to master the craft of writing. I would love to publish a book in every genre. And who knows? I may come close.
Thank you to all of you and everyone out there who has downloaded one of my books, read my blog or simply supported me in spirit. Compound Delusions: the rise & fall of our design, will be available via KINDLE on February 13, 2013 at no cost for the first five days. A print edition is soon to follow as are ebook editions available on itunes, nook, and all other literary markets around the world in the months to come.
Keep reading, keep learning, keep living; always express the elements that stick out from those experiences in an artistic way. And if you are one of those people who believes they were born without any talent. Dig deep. We all have a unique way to express our selves. The key to finding yours is within. Let go of fear and find your muse. Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend.
